Here are just a few photos from our afternoon visit to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in scenic Saguro National Park - Tucson, Arizona. The outdoor open air museum is beautiful and certainly worth a visit. It is basically a combination zoo, botantical garden and natural history museum all rolled into one. Elise loved getting to see all the desert landscape and wildlife. The highlight for her was watching the javelina - aka peccaries. She called them "piggies" and got super excited whenever they moved around. While she loved seeing the real javelina up close, she had even more fun playing with the javelina sculptures in front of the museum. She pat them on the head, saying "my piggies" and tried with all her might to take the little one home with her!
